While Pinterest was initially known for being the go-to app for browsing home decor ideas and cooking recipes, the platform has come a long way and is no longer just a place to save content to Pinterest boards. In reality, there is so much more to it than that, especially for businesses.

Still, only 28% of all marketers worldwide use Pinterest to market, after Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube. So, with all the hype surrounding this social media channel, why aren’t more brands and people utilizing this marketing gold mine?

Reasons Why Most Marketers Are Missing Out on Pinterest

  1. They think Pinterest is too much of a niche…

Can you imagine being able to safely doze off in a train or the steps of a mall? Can you imagine a world in which you sleep at work and are applauded for it?

For most countries, this may sound a bit far-fetched. But if you’ve been to Japan or are aware of the Japanese culture, this idea may not appear that unrealistic. The Japanese have a concept called inemuri (居眠り) which you can see being practiced widely in the country.

Side note: inemuri is not the same as hirune (昼寝), a term that translates to ‘daytime sleep’ or napping…

The Ethereum Killer. Sounds like a supervillain in a Marvels movie, doesn’t it? That’s the nickname often assigned to Cardano, a “decentralized public blockchain and cryptocurrency project that is fully open source”. At this point, no crypto investor has not heard of the blockchain network well-known for being the no. 1 competitor to Ethereum.

A Strong Start

Since its launch on September 27, 2017, Cardano’s native token ADA has rapidly gained traction and is today among the 10 most valuable cryptocurrencies, with a fully diluted market value of about $84 billion.

The founder of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson was also one of the co-founders…

Since 2017, NFT games have been on the rise as more and more people have become interested in them. From a distance, it all sounds amazing and that has attracted a solid base of fans and investors alike.

Despite the success of play-to-earn games such as Axie Infinity, a blockchain-based game that allows players to earn income in the form of tokens and other rewards, the NFT gaming landscape is still in its infancy and have a long way to go before reaching mainstream adoption.

There are a number of things that are preventing it from reaching this point, most…

The United Arab Emirates is easily one of the richest countries in the world. It is the sixth-largest oil producer on a global scale, with a gross domestic product per capita of above $43,000 as of 2019, according to the World Bank.

According to its “Vision 2021,” which was launched by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the UAE is committed to sustainable development in order to become the Gulf Cooperation Council’s most diversified economy. …

Stephen King recommends writing every single day in his instructional memoir, On Writing (his own routine includes writing 1,000 words a day, six days a week). Other writers like Anne Lamott also propose similar ideas. In her book, Bird by Bird, Lamott recommends sitting down to write at roughly the same time every day.

But if you’re not Stephen King, this advice does not work. In fact, it reduces the chances of you finishing your writing task.

In this article, I want to explain why this is the case and provide a better understanding of the psychology of achieving big…

Not so long ago, I was saving money every chance I could get. Having grown up in Southeast Asia, I saw how my Chinese friends lived wealthy lives but continued to save every penny. Hell, I even wrote an article five months ago about a Japanese budgeting system called kakeibo.

I thought that’s what it takes to get rich. To save as much of your salary as you can manage.

Then, I got an offer for a job that was giving five times the pay I was making, and my savings suddenly meant nothing. It looked so minuscule in comparison…

In the world of crypto, I have been seeing a lot of articles centered around blockchain-based games or “play-to-earn”. But the idea of cryptocurrencies and games is not a novel concept. We can date them back to CryptoKitties, the first widely recognized blockchain game where players could own, breed, and trade kitties. The game gained explosive growth upon its launch but quickly collapsed in a short time.

For the longest time, blockchain and gaming has been viewed as the perfect combo as both industries are heavily intertwining in even the smallest niches. However, it is one thing to invest or…

“A word after a word after a word is power.” — Margaret Atwood

A 2019 survey found that 81% of adults aged between 18 and 29 years old had read a book in the previous year.

Yet, I haven’t been able to pick up a book for the past 5 years. Each time I tried, I could not get past a few chapters of any books. I lost focus, got restless and went back to playing Cooking Dash on my phone or watching a new episode of Grey’s Anatomy.

I had a lot of reasons (nay, excuses) for why I…

Looking at the greatest writers, dead and alive, you may wonder what is it that makes their writing so pleasant to read, so beautiful that it evokes intense emotion with mere words. If you too are an aspiring author, trying to achieve the same reaction with your own writings, there are a few things to take into account.

As an author, you may be looking for ways to strengthen the quality of your storytelling. One major way to do this is through literary devices. Flashbacks, foreshadows, mood, imagery, metaphor, and suspense.

In this article, we will focus on the literary…
