If you’ve ever felt like a fraud, you’re not alone. We’ve all been there. Imposter syndrome is the voice at the back of your mind telling you that you’re not good enough.

In this article, I want to speak to writers who are still carrying that feeling of self-doubt. If you want to beat it for once and for all, here are 10 tips for you.

1. Go out with your marketing-slash-writing friends.

Having friends you can share mutual interests with, bounce off ideas and have discussions beyond surface level is a blessing.

I can do it for hours without getting bored and I come out of the conversation with 50 ideas running through my head and a renewed sense of motivation.

You can always speak to those friends about ideas you have, share what you’ve written, receive their reactions and feedback, learn a tip or two from them — wouldn’t that chase away your imposter syndrome?

2. Don’t have those friends? Write online.

Alternatively, you can always get feedback from online. If it’s your goal to write anything online, that is where you can derive feedback too.
